About Joshua W Bruner: Joshua W Bruner inadvertently stumbled upon neurofeedback composition through his deep curiosities of music and brainwaves. Upon realizing how powerful his own experiences were, he set out on a path to learn and share the relaxing & creative powers of sound and neurofeedback with others. With over 20 years on the stage exploring many styles of music and touring throughout a dozen countries, Joshua eventually decided to direct his passion for composing music towards meditation and preventative healthcare purposes in 2017. He now composes music by monitoring/sonifying his brainwaves using EEG neurofeedback, an intriguing art-form which has been around for several decades.
Health-Beats Workshop
Perfect for all musicians, meditation teachers, yoga instructors, any other wellness professions, or brainwave curious persons.
You’ll learn how to make finely tuned entrainment tracks in several free programs and within our advanced course we go over how to make these beats inside of your DAW with VST instruments.
Night Brain: Experimental Night!

Creative Neurofeedback Workshop
Saturday 3/14 6-9pm $75 (No refunds)
This is a fun workshop for anyone wanting to explore generating art with their brainwaves. No prior brainwave experience necessary. Advancements in EEG and music/visual technology have made it possible for artists to accurately monitor and express ourselves with computers and cell phones. There are several way to sonify and visualize brainwaves available and we’ll explore a few of these in this unique crash course in mind art. We’ll also discuss how we can reliably control our work with a few simple meditation techniques centered around the breath and heart.
Take your artistic expression to progressive new levels with in this 3 hour biogenerative neurofeedback art workshop at Blue Bear School of Music.

“Beginning in the late 1950’s, Stan Shaff’s early work with tape compositions and with live performance led to a growing conviction that space was an inherent dimension of music. For the past nearly half-century, his pursuit has been the discovery, exploration and development of this spatial musical dimension, which Stan and co-creator, Doug McEachern (original systems and equipment designer) named AUDIUM. AUDIUM creates a new vocabulary for the field of music. It is a physically accessible medium for composer and tape performer, and a three-dimensional, spatial musical experience for the listener. Through the years, from early performance spaces to the current theatre, different combinations of words have been used in an attempt to capture the essence of the medium of spatial sound-performance in a controlled environment: AUDIUM: a sound-space continuum; sound-sculptured space; a spatial sound environment; a theatre of sound.”
